Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland and IP Deutschland now relying on smartclip technology
Hamburg/Cologne, September 5, 2016 – IP Deutschland, the marketing arm of Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland, is now marketing its entire addressable TV portfolio exclusively through smartclip – making smartclip the largest provider of addressable TV in Germany. HbbTV allows advertising to be addressed to relevant target groups via an ad server during the linear broadcast of television content. smartclip is able to reach all of Germany's approx. 13 million HbbTV households with its portfolio.
The high level of innovation that is being further expanded by the digital technologies of smartclip in Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland provides greater added value for addressable TV marketing of the broadcasters RTL, VOX, RTL NITRO and n-tv. smartclip technology enables the ad server-based delivery of advertising and also includes ad management, as well as campaign measurement and reporting. Advertisers and media agencies will now be able to take advantage of the addressable TV portfolio with the widest reach in Germany for their campaigns with just a single booking. Thanks to the wide target group coverage, this offer is relevant for advertising customers in every sector, and has already impressed both Volkswagen and DAK Gesundheit in pilot projects. The first customer of the new set-up is BORCO-MARKEN-IMPORT, which manages the vodka brand Russian Standard. The media agency for this project is pilot in Hamburg.
